How we got here
SnapTakeoff began when I kept watching job site photos pile up on my phone with no good way to turn them into something useful.
I was working with solo GCs doing kitchen remodels and bathroom updates. When I asked what slowed them down the most, the answer was always the same: takeoffs. The tools on the market were built for larger firms with dedicated estimating staff, and desktop workflows none of them would ever use.
I started building AI tooling for this exact workflow. Not to replace the expertise of a good GC, but to handle the repetitive parts. Photo in, material list out. Enough accuracy to work from, enough speed to move on.
Solo GCs don't have an estimating department. They have a truck, a phone, and a job to finish. That's who we build for.
